playing several songs I love for the first time, how can that be a bad thing. I don't know all of these songs but there are a lot of them that I do know and this book allows you to sound like you know what your doing. this is not a necessarily solo guitar book, but a sound like the record type book so most song work out pretty much like the record but not always with the melody being played or any of the solos. this book will keep you busy for quite a while.

This is a delightful collection of old and new, popular and eclectic tunes.It is in the "cheat sheet" format, ie very accessible but at the same time pretty accurately transcribed.There are some advanced songs included that go well beyond the "first 50" fingerpicking tunes a players might attempt, very worthwhile to spend the effort, though.

I tend to listen, and play, bluegrass and country only. With that there are an overwhelming number of songs in the book that I have never heard of. Not their fault though. Other than the limited song recognition the book is good.

Not the easiest format to navigate on the Kindle

I am a nonsinger who wanted instrumental versions of these songs. This isn't that. Except for a handful of instrumentals, it mostly shows chords and picking patterns for intros, then lyrics and chords for the body of the song -- no melody integrated into an arrangement. No notation. My fault, I didn't look closely enough at the arrangements. So if you're looking to accompany yourself or another singer, this should be fine, but they're not full arrangements of the songs.

The book has some really great content for an advanced beginner (Pink Floyd's "Is There Anybody Out There?" is a great, easy-to-play piece that I haven't seen in other books). Definitely buy the hard copy; the Kindle version is very hard to see on any device (including a Kindle, a tablet, and a full-size laptop), no matter how much you zoom in. And of course once you zoom in, you can't see the rest of the score. Hard copy would've been a better buy, plus I could make fingering notes on it!

Ive read several pen test books out there, and this book is pretty good. I like the flow of the book. However, some of the tools used are a bit dated (Airmon-ng, while still good, has been around a while). Also, some of the techniques arent compatible with Kali on VMWorkstation, and there are issues getting it to work correctly. There should be some type of call-out to warn of possible issues.Otherwise, easy to read and understand.

Well worth every penny I spent on it. Many people are focused on hacking kits that do everything for you with a menu driven system and you can't analyze for yourself (on a packet level) what is going on. This book walks you through aircrack suite, along with wireshark, to support your steps so you SEE and KNOW what's happening at every step of your hack. Things you didnt realize was happening in the background of wireless will shock you. So you will not enjoy this book unless you really aim to understand what you're doing, which is not what most new security folks care about.

I would definitely recommend this book. It is well explained and easy to follow.

This book is not as described. It is not any or hardly any quotes from St. Therese. It is just a book that shows you some Bible passages that YOU have to LOOK up in YOUR own Bible -- I don't have a big Bible to look through. Anyway, the rest of it is some meditations based on Bible passages. NO, St. Therese -- buy something else.

There is so much in this book. I will be going back to it a lot.

As far as it goes, its good. However what many people need is a clear and detailed review of how add-on apps attach themselves to QBO. How do these apps drop data into accounts? Do they add accounts to the chart of accounts? Apparently QBO payroll does this but doesn't tell you it did. (As a result you end up with duplicate payroll accounts, the pre-set accounts in the chart of accounts and then ones added by the payroll account, which I presume is to make sure the payroll app has the proper accounts to drop taxes, wages, etc. into in QBO.) How about that QBO, some explanation? That's one of several reasons I bought this book and was disappointed that there wasn't much, if any, detail on this. I know this is labeled for DUMMIES but you don't really mean that. A more technical discussion of the programming API's or hooks for how QBO communicates with other programs would be most helpful for those who need to know more. And no that is not something relegated to some programming book. Just a simple explanation such as: QBO provides entry points (sometimes called API's) that allow apps to transfer data into or out of QBO and to add necessary accounts to the chart of accounts to provide a place for the data. Typically such accounts, if created, occur as expense or income accounts. Then send us to an appendix for the down and dirty details that most people would skip. I also fault Intuit for this because while they provide many videos, they are somewhat simplistic when you are trying to find out more detailed knowledge of how things work. Of course the same could be said of the app developers who don't give any detail about adding accounts, what detail gets dumped into which accounts and so forth. Most people will find enough detail in the book, but if problems are happening and you need to get down in the swamp of details, this book will not be enough.

Having just transferred (exported) QBO and seeing how different it is from the Desktop QB I've been using for years, I thought getting the Kindle version of this book would help. WRONG. There doesn't seem to be a usable or helpful table of contents OR Index-- I wanted to be able to zero in on the areas for which I had questions. Almost impossible to do. I would NOT recommend this book.

If you want to know about QuickBooks Online, Get this Book! Gives a nice overview, compares Online OB to Desktop QB, and then drills right down to the mechanics of the beast. Ever goof up and need to purge a company you uploaded from QB Desktop to QB Online? See Chapter 12. A few keystrokes erases your mess.ClayFort Worth, Texas

Pros: Teaches you the basic functions. If you know that you're switching to QBO a month prior from QB Desktop, it would be a little helpful.Cons: UPDATED: As I was entering in Sales Receipts, I decided to see if the book could guide me with reoccurring receipts. It couldn't. There are other items in which the book probably doesn't cover. As a result I've taken off another star. Don't buy the book.Lacks everything else. For example if you're a restaurant, how do you add sales receipts? If you're an online merchant, how do you best use QB Online? What if you have multiple credit cards under 1 credit card account connected to QBO? Etc. etc.

I rated this book 2 stars for the following reasons. If you are reading this review, you may be doing what I did before I bought this book. As someone who switched from the desktop version of QuickBooks to to QuickBooks Online, I found the online version severely lacking in options, settings and usability. Therefore, I was searching for something that would hopefully give me a few hidden "tips and tricks" that would help me get a little more out of the program. I do not recommend this book if that is what you are expecting. In defense of the author, she really did not have much to work with, since "what you see is what you get" with QBO; i.e., there are no hidden tips and tricks to use. With all of that being said, however, you may find this book helpful if you have never used the desktop version and are starting with QBO. You will find more information here than you get with the limited program "Help" menu.

This book is mildly helpful in my opinion. So many of the questions I have are not addressed. Perhaps a different business would find it useful. We are a dental office and so many things are different for us. Simple things like bank downloads, entering ongoing entries I don’t find in this book.

Probably a good reference for you if you are familiar with QuickBooks already. I quickly found out that you can't even rely on the table of contents, or the index to get to where you want to get to.Total waste of money.

Not great - too much information for accountants and not enough for the rest of us - most of it is all very obvious and you can find it on QB support - doesn't tackle the real issues for a non pro not accountant issue

This was a difficult review for me for several reasons. One, I truly believe these first 3 books could've totally been one book. As a reader I feel ripped off that I've now had to pay a higher price for each book which easily could've been one price for one book. I was very frustrated that several, several times in the story she spent pages and pages explaining the details of the pub or even just entering a room. Not necessary to move the story along and totally filler. Two, please tell your readers that this will be an ongoing series so they know not to expect a conclusion. Overall if you put the story into one book it would've been really good, however, now I feel disheartened with this author and will not be spending any more of my money on her future books with an obvious ploy to break up a story into many parts to make money off readers--hence the 2 star review.

I would like to thank Karen Robards, Harlequin/Mira, and NetGalley for allowing me to read a free ARC in exchange for an honest review.SPOILERSI read Moscow Deception (MD) and Fifth Doctrine (FD) back to back, so this is kinda-sorta a review for both. I’ve decided to have a love-hate relationship with this series. On one hand, I freaking love it, because it’s clever, fast-paced action with vivid description and likable characters. But on the other hand, I hate being teased. I wish these books would deliver what they promise, namely a deep dive into Bianca’s character and her relationships.To be fair, Robards does a fantastic job giving Bianca some internal conflict, and FD stroked my romantic feathers (oh, boy, did it!). But I still wasn’t satisfied when I finished reading it. While I realize cliff-hangers and unresolved plot lines might be good for business—who cares if the readers are dissatisfied as long as they buy the next installment, right?—it’s really annoying when books cut corners. Lines like: “Next time she had a couple of hours to spare she’d schedule an official freak out.” (MD, 82) and “Okay, pencil in a nervous breakdown for later.” (FD, 33) are so lazy—especially when you don’t pay them off! You might as well write: I’m going to put character development on the back burner while I go to town in North Korea.I want to get into the supersoldier conspiracy. I want Bianca to stand up to that smug buttwipe Mason and tell him to cram it up his crapper because he won’t be using her anymore (I wanted him to die, not gonna lie)—instead, she says that to Colin, who just wants to help her! Gah, that’s so frustrating. I want to get to know Hay and Doc and Evie, see Evie win against her rotten soon-to-be-ex.Obviously I prefer character-driven novels, but to be clear, I don’t mind fast-paced action thrillers. I can appreciate them for what they are. What pisses me off is when they pretend to be character-driven when they are not. I enjoyed the subplot about Quincy, Sage, and the Bloods, as well as the one about Bianca’s co-workers and business, particularly Evie’s personal drama. But I cannot figure out how these subplots are at all relevant to the overall thriller plot. If you were to remove the Mission: Save Francisca and Mission: Save Evie scenes from MD, the rest of the plot wouldn’t be affected. Case in point, Robards didn’t even bother including any such scenes in FD, which resulted in more leg room for the action, better pace, and fewer disappointments.MD gets 3 stars because of those irrelevant subplots, but FD gets 4 stars because it didn’t perpetuate those irrelevant subplots and finally got into the romance—wasn’t truly satisfying, but it was a lot more than we got in the first two.Now, I’m assuming there’ll be another book. This surprises me, because I swear I read somewhere that it was supposed to be a trilogy. I don’t remember where I read it and I’m not going to hunt it down because it was years ago and it’s beside the point—there’s clearly going to be more books in this series. Or at least one. I have read Karen Robards before. This whole series was so disappointing. It was very fast paced--OK. Character development was totally lacking. I wanted to feel like I was rooting for the main characters to get together. After the first book, I thought it was going to happen in the second. So I waited patiently. Nothing. Third book, it happened, and I found that I really didn't care. I just never felt invested in the story.

I absolutely loved this book. I hated to see the series (3 books) come to an end as each book was incredibly exciting with such detail as to make feel I was with them. The romance was much more believable along with just enough sex to make you want more. I always enjoy re-reading books but only after a certain amount of time so the details are new to me. I am counting the months until I can return to this series. Once I discovered Karen Robards, she quickly became one of my top 3 authors.

This book is a roller coaster read. Bianca and Colin are finally working as a team and what a team and their chemistry is off the chart. The story content makes me think Ms. Robards is a secret spy and a writer as a second profession.I hope there is a book four in the works. I love this series.

This is the third installment of the Bianca St Ives saga and I can't wait for the next one. Suspense, suspense, suspense! Heart pounding realism surrounded by real time current events with a dash of romance. Must read.

I love all Karen Robards books, but I especially love this new character Bianca St Ives. What a fast paced thriller. I now have all 3 books. I could read them over and over.

Karen Robards has one again done exceptional quality writing. Of all the authors I have read she is my absolute favorite. The Guardian trilogy is her best work yet.
