The Star of Bethlehem must have been a beautiful, supernatural, star-like orb hovering and moving through Earth's atmosphere under God's control. Having recently finished Dr. Nicholls book, "The Great Christ Comet," I highly recommend it. This book represents an extraordinary amount of research that boggles the mind. The author does a compelling job of weaving the pertinent Biblical texts together with scientific evidence to demonstrate that the star of Bethlehem was actually a comet. I was concerned that my not being acquainted with the field of astronomy would be an impediment to grasping this book. However, I was surprised to find that Dr. Nicholls did an excellent job of taking a novice of astronomy such as myself on a wonderful journey through the stars and the Scriptural evidence to support his thesis. I will never read the Scriptures concerning the Star of Bethlehem in the same way. This work has once again given me great appreciation for the accuracy of the Bible in its historical details. Whether one is a student of the Bible or astronomy or both, there is something for everyone in this book. For these reasons I commend it as a must read for everyone interested in the mystery of the Star of Bethlehem.

Love this book and the depth of research involved in its writing.

As a pastor, I am thoroughly enjoying this book. It does a deep, thoughtful, research-driven dive into the star over Bethlehem that guided the magi to the infant Christ. Nicholl indulges in a scholarly and scientific process that tackles skepticism and provides legitimacy and supports biblical inerrancy even pertaining to Matthew's oft dismissed astronomical event. I will be leaning on this resource in my Christmas preaching for years to come.

Very difficult to understand, unless you have the background in astronomy. Its like a text book.

GOOD READ.

The book has a good understanding of the time and place where things took place, the language is simple enough for a none techie to understand and deep enough for the scholarly type, It keeps the faith of the believer and helps them dig deeper in to the word, for more understanding of the times, where our Savior was born. The book is well illustrated and laid out, it keeps the reader wanting more.
